Theatre Department

  • Middle School (grades 6-8): Many 7th and 8th grade students are placed into Drama 7 or Drama 8 as elective courses. Studies in these classes include theatre basics, improvisation, voice awareness, comfort performing before your peers, and scene work. In addition, all middle school students (grades 6-8) who wish to perform and sing in a large-scale musical project can audition for the annual Middle School musical. All students who audition are cast in the musical. Rehearsals take place weekdays after school.

High School (grades 9-12): The High School theatre program not only permits students to meet the graduation requirement of one credit in the arts, but it also allows students to continue developing their theatre skills on a deeper and more advanced level. Courses offered include Acting For Beginners, Intermediate Acting, Advanced Acting, Theatre Technology, and Musical Theatre. Students can apply skills they learn while performing or working backstage in our high school fall plays or winter musicals.
