Summer Meal Information

    Lunch will be available free of charge this summer to anyone 18 years old and younger on weekdays beginning Thursday, June 27 through Friday, August 30, 2024. Please note that meals will not be served on July 4th.

    Details for the summer lunch program are as follows:

    • Meals will be served between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Mamaroneck Avenue School (MAS), located at 850 Mamaroneck Avenue in Mamaroneck, NY 

    • Meals must be consumed at MAS 

    • Parental supervision is required for any person receiving a meal; no supervision will be provided by the school

    • No application or registration is required 

    The summer meals program is a national program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). It will be run by the Mamaroneck Union Free School District in partnership with its food service provider, Chartwells.  A Question and Answer document about the summer meals program is available on Mamaroneck’s website.     The USDA partners with local schools and community organizations to serve healthy, no-cost meals to kids and teens ages 18 and under. Visit SummerMealsNY.org or text “Food” or “Comida” to 304-304 to find additional summer meal locations.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
