Rye Neck School District celebrates School Board Recognition Week (October 18th-October 22nd).

During the October 21st Rye Neck Union Free School District Board of Education Meeting, Superintendent Dr. Eric Lutinski shared these remarks as a tribute and acknowledgement to our outstanding school board members:

“The New York State School Boards Association recognizes October 18th through the 22nd as this year’s School Board Recognition Week. This is a time to promote awareness and understanding of the important work performed by school board members. Rye Neck is joining all public school districts across the state to celebrate School Board Recognition Week to honor local board members for their commitment to our community and its children.

School board members take on one of the most important citizen responsibilities: overseeing the education of the community’s youth to ensure that public schools are flexible and responsive to the needs of the community. School boards are comprised of volunteers who do not receive any compensation for their service, yet they work year-round so that students can learn at their highest level. They are individuals who have dedicated their time to improving public education.  If you’d like to know more about any or all of our board members, please see the school board page on our website.”

The six volunteer elected members of the Board of Education are: Jennifer Rubin, President; Gloria Golle, Vice President; Patty Nashelsky, Trustee; Pietro Fasolino, Trustee; Devina O'Reilly, Trustee; and Rebecca Mansell, Trustee.

Each board member received a special certificate of recognition at last night’s meeting. Please join is in congratulations and thanks!
