Daniel Warren
Instructions for a Daniel Warren Virtual Learning Day
- Your child will join Google Classroom by logging into their Rye Neck Google account.
- Google Classroom can be located in the “waffle” choices. There will be a Google Classroom for your child’s current teacher and related services.
- Specialty classes like Art, Phys. Ed, Library, Music will follow their regular letter day schedule. The classroom teachers will share the link in their daily plans. Your child’s teacher will indicate this in the schedule.
- Please have your child dressed and ready to learn. We understand that as an emergency remote day, not everyone may have a device to participate. *Alternate learning ideas will be shared by the classroom teacher.
- Lunch and Recess will take place at the regular scheduled time. Your child will have a break to eat and play before returning to their Google Classroom. We recognize that due to the delay, lunch is close to the start. We kept lunch close to the typical time to ensure the routine and schedules aligned.
- Teachers will post their schedules for the day in Google Classroom and will email families by 8:45 a.m.
Start Time: 10:50 (Two-hour delay)
Lunch & Recess for 1st and 2nd Second Grade: 11:50-12:50
Lunch & Recess for Kindergarten: 12:20-1:20
End Time: 2:50
F.E. Bellows
Instructions for an F.E. Bellows Virtual Learning Day
In the event that the Rye Neck School District or FEB needs to call a Virtual Instructional Day, here is some important information parents need to know:
- School would be on a 2-hour delay. This means students would need to be ready to learn remotely with their teacher promptly at 10:40 a.m.
- The day would follow an abbreviated schedule. You will find this information in each classroom teacher's Google Classroom.
- We will still be following a Letter Day schedule; however, students may have a different special than they are used to. Teachers will inform them during Google Meets and it will be posted in Google Classroom with the schedule.
- Each period would be 30 minutes, except for lunch. Lunch would be a 40-minute period.
- We ask that you and your children be mindful of our expectations for the day. We want to be sure these times are on-task and productive for all participants.
-
-
-
Be sure you’re ready with materials.
-
Be dressed for learning.
-
Save eating for before or after live instruction. Have your water bottle nearby.
