Our Community 

The Rye Neck School District, located in Southern Westchester County, lies approximately 20 miles northeast of New York City. Bordering Connecticut and the Long Island Sound, the district serves a diverse group of students from both the City of Rye and the Village of Mamaroneck, largely residential areas that boast of picturesque settings. The district’s close proximity to a major metropolitan area allows for unique learning opportunities and an exposure to a global culture.

Our District 
The Rye Neck School District is comprised of two elementary schools – one servicing grades K-2 and another for grades 3-5 – as well as a middle school and high school, which share the same campus. All four schools within the Rye Neck School District have been designated as National Schools of Excellence by the United States Department of Education. With a total population of 1,500 students, the Rye Neck School District is able to offer a personal education within a public school setting. The small population allows for close interaction between the students and faculty. The district strongly emphasizes a sense of opportunity and advancement to its students and continually challenges them to reach even higher levels of personal success. The district’s motto, “Learn, Achieve, Lead,” is supported by a strong curriculum and abundant opportunities for involvement for every child within the district, whether it is in the area of academics, athletics, the arts, extracurricular activities or community service.

Our Mission
The Mission of the Rye Neck School Community is to develop active, critical-thinking, creative, responsible citizens with high values, morals and ethics. These citizens will respect, accept and appreciate others in a multicultural world and be committed to lifelong academic and personal achievement in a supportive learning environment. Students will acquire a suitable educational foundation, mastery of the English language and analytical skills which will help them deal with challenges in their personal and professional lives.
